Walter Payton was an outstanding player overall when it come to his position. His nickname "sweetness" was for his extraordinary performance on the field and especially off the field. He was so supportive to his team and the people in need. Payton played at Jackson State university , when his outstanding rushing yards caught peoples attention. He had rushed for about 3,600 and scored 480 points and more! He was then drafted to the bears in 1975. His excellence was mostly speed but Walter wasn't afraid to put his head down and run you over. He had amazing ways of getting through the defense to score, if there was no way of scoring he would still push it to limits that were inhuman. When you think Payton is going down... think again.
